H.S.H. Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, accompanied by their children, Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, together with H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie, officially inaugurated Europa-Park’s new themed area dedicated to the Principality earlier this week.

Following the official ceremony and ribbon-cutting, the Princely Family explored this 18th themed area, which has welcomed visitors since last March, inviting them to immerse themselves in the world of Monaco through an experience that combines heritage, culture, innovation, and sport.

Centered around the iconic Silver Star roller coaster, now fully integrated into the Monaco theme, visitors can admire scenery inspired by the Casino de Monte-Carlo, explore an immersive digital aquarium developed in partnership with the Oceanographic Institute, discover dedicated exhibits celebrating the Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival, and experience the excitement of the Monaco Grand Prix through state-of-the-art driving simulators and an exhibition of vehicles from H.S.H. Prince Albert II’s personal collection.

The inauguration also highlighted the long-standing friendship between the Princely Family and the Mack family, founders of Europa-Park. Their relationship is built on shared values, including a deep passion for the circus arts. This tradition, which has been an integral part of the Principality since Prince Rainier III founded the Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival, is reflected at Europa-Park, whose productions regularly feature artists honored at Monaco’s prestigious festival.

The visit concluded with the unveiling of the “Place Grimaldi de Monaco” plaque in the heart of the new themed area—a tribute to the Grimaldi dynasty and a symbol of the strong ties between the Mack family and the Princely Family.

A true showcase for the Principality, this new themed area will now enable millions of visitors to discover Monaco through its heritage, culture, and unique art of living.
